After seven years as an assistant coach, the last five here at Shore Regional with the boy's basketball program, Coach Wishart is looking forward to his first head coaching position. During those years as an assistant coach, he has served as both a Junior Varsity and Freshmen coach. In addition to his many years of experience, Coach Wishart brings energy, passion, and excitement to the program that he has learned from a wide range of other coaches. His plans to Redesign, Rebuild and Reclaim the Girls Basketball Program has created a buzz around the Shore Regional Community. Coach Wishart is a graduate of Ocean Township High School and Muhlenberg College where is excelled in the classroom and was a member of the basketball team at both schools. He also completed his Masters in Education at Monmouth University and recently completed his certification in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University. Coach Wishart plans to instill qualities that will help his players succeed both on and off the court, in addition to where ever life may bring them in the future.
Assistant Varsity Coaches:
Coach Remedios is beginning her 9th year coaching basketball at Shore Regional. She was a graduate of Shore Regional in 2005, where she was a member of the varsity basketball team all four years, along with varsity soccer freshman - junior years. She went on to graduate from Monmouth University in 2010. During her time at Monmouth, she studied Criminal Justice and started her coaching career down the street at Shore Regional.
Coach West has been an assistant coach at Long Branch Middle School for the past two years. She is also a 6th grade science and 7th grade robotics teacher. She graduated from Shore Regional High School in 2010, where she played on the varsity basketball team all four years. She continued her basketball career for four years at The College of New Jersey. While attending TCNJ, she double majored in Elementary Education and Integrative-STEM. She is currently back at TCNJ in a graduate program for her Masters of Education in iSTEM and looking forward to her first year coaching at her high school alma matter!
