Feelings about playing for Shore...

-It has been an all around eye opening experience as well as a humbling one. It’s an experience in itself to see the players that have come through this program before me and to see the success they have had. My team surprises me in new ways everyday and I am so grateful for the many opportunities it has been able to offer me.

How has playing for Shore helped prepare you for college play?

-This is a demanding program which is not common for many high school teams. Everyone who is a part of this program is here to work hard and the high standards of play and work ethic have allowed me to  prepare for the physical demands as well as expectations of performance on and off the field at the collegiate level.

Why you picked the college you did?

-Stanford offered not only a high level program but a great academic school. When I visited I really liked the team, coaches and campus. I felt at home there and couldn’t imagine going to any other school.

What type of impact has SRFH had on you as a player and person?

-SRFH has helped me develop my skills as well as teach me how to be a well rounded player. SRFH is not only about developing the skillset but the character of its athletes and I feel that the one thing that has defined my career here at Shore is the growth it has allowed me to achieve.

Feelings about playing for Shore...

Playing for Shore Regional all four years of my high school career was a great privilege. I have loved my experience here at Shore, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Our team has formed a bond that is incredible and can not be broken. Being a part of Shore Hockey required a huge amount of hard work and dedication, but the results have made everything worthwhile. This program will always be a part of me and has had a huge impact on shaping me into the person I am today. I can't thank my coaches and my teammates enough for all they have done for me these past four years.

How has playing for Shore helped prepare you for college play?

Shore has helped me prepare for college play by forcing me to be the best version of myself. Every time I step out on that field, my work rate needs to increase. The amount of work I put in, must increase. I know college is going to be the same way; in all aspects. There is always more you can do, and more effort I can give on and off the field. The standards and values the coaches and my teammates have set for us are similar to those of college; and I truly believe they will carry me through the rest of my field hockey career and beyond.

Why you picked the college you did?

I have chosen Monmouth University to continue my field hockey career because it is the absolute best fit for me academically and athletically. I have always wanted to go to Monmouth since I was a little girl, and living close to the school has made it that much easier. I have seen so many of my role models excel at Monmouth within the field hockey program; and seeing that made me want to go there that much more. The Monmouth program mirrors that of our program here at Shore, and I love that about it as well. Monmouth is the perfect fit for me, and I could not be more excited to start there next year.

What type of impact has SRFH had on you as a player and person?

The impact SRFH has had on me as a player and a person is an extremely positive one. The program has reinforced what was taught and instilled by my parents and has challenged me be the best version of myself on a consistent basis. SRFH has caused me to become much more hard working and dedicated; on and off the field hockey field. The values my coaches hold me to have caused me to become successful in school, with other peers, and in leadership positions. The impact SRFH has had on me is irreplaceable and I could not imagine myself without it.

Feelings about playing for Shore...

All the sports at shore are extremely supportive of each other which makes me proud to play. I get the feeling that I am a part of something bigger than myself and my team becomes my family.

How has playing for Shore helped prepare you for college play?

Shore has made me a more intense, dedicated, and selfless player. The tough workouts and practices proved to me that working hard today will only better you tomorrow.

Why you picked the college you did?

Boston College provides me with an equally academically and athletically challenging environment. I will be able to continue to evolve my play while pursuing a higher education. The campus is beautiful and in a city that I fell in love with and I couldn't be more excited for the opportunity. The coaches and team made me feel welcome and right at home.

What type of impact has SRFH had on you as a player and person?

Shore field hockey has taught me to align my morals and values with what I want from life. It has showed me that you will face challenges throughout your life, but no matter how great they are, you have the ability to overcome them through hard work and dedication. I truly believe that it has impacted me the most in high school and has set me up to be as successful as possible.
