The Athletic Training Club is for any student at Shore interested
in sports medicine. Any student or student-athlete can join! If you are contemplating a career in any health care
profession (athletic training, physical therapy, physician assistant, occupational
therapy, chiropractic, orthopedic medicine etc.) the AT Club is for you! The Athletic Training Club members help Mr. A on the sidelines during fall, winter, and spring sports. As a member of the club you will learn about
various topics in sports medicine including: functional anatomy, common
injuries, injury prevention and rehabilitation, strength training, first aid, taping/padding
and bracing procedures.* Please see Mr. A if interested in joining!
*Club members function as Student Aides and will gain knowledge
through observation and speaking with Mr. A about the what, why, and how. You will be able to practice these and other techniques on other
members of the club during meetings/learning labs throughout the year.
